The rumoured Star Wars -themed Hyperspace Mountain overlay of Space Mountain: Mission 2 is now all but confirmed, as new refurbishment schedules list the attraction as closed from 9th January This follows a lengthy six month closure in for a first phase of thorough refurbishment. At that time, it was said that a second closure would include additional improvements such as brand new trains, hopefully offering a smoother ride experience. Space Mountain - Night Vision (HD POV : Full Ride) - Disneyland Resort California
I actually really enjoyed rock n roller coaster because there were no drops. Drops are what I hate most! I like Aerosmith but I endure hyperspace mountain because I love my kids. However, my kids tell me it now goes more slowly, and other regular posters whom I trust tell me it varies depending on weight distribution
Taking a ride on Space Mountain with the lights on
We've previously seen what Space Mountain looks like with its lights on from the vantage point of the Wedway Peoplemover. Now, we get to experience the roller coaster with the lights on as if we were riding it in this POV video by Theme Park University. I don't remember why the lights were on but we talked about it for years afterwards.
Upon hearing of Space Mountain soft opening to guests yesterday after a seven-month refurbishment, I rushed over to the Magic Kingdom only to be denied a ride as the roller coaster was shut down for further maintenance and testing. I returned to the Magic Kingdom today at around 1 p. Around twenty minutes later, I finally had a chance to board a vehicle and blast off into space once again.
